The UNLV Economics Hub is aimed at creating an undergraduate, student-centered research environment with several goals: (i) Help high-achieving undergraduate students to pursue graduate studies, (ii) encourage undergraduate students to participate in research activities organized by UNLV's Office of Undergraduate Research (OUR), (iii) contribute publications to the Nevada State Undergraduate Research Journal (NSURJ) an interdisciplinary, statewide undergraduate journal, (iv) organize seminars that feature undergraduate student, alumni and faculty guest speakers, (v) construct and maintain a Webpage that showcases the activities of the Hub, and (vi) supervise an undergraduate research experience during summer in which high-achieving students pursue research projects leading to presentation at professional conferences and publications.
