Abstract
This study examines the basketball gameplay factors that influence revenue for NBA teams. This study challenges
some pre-established notions about revenue generation in the sport of basketball. This study reveals that a
particular style of play, “Run and Gun”, can maximize revenue generation. These findings have critical implications
for NBA front offices, owners, and coaching staffs.
